Beverley’s Legacy
28.07.63 - 31.05.23
As many of you know our beautiful Mum, Beverley, passed away on 31st May. Just shy of her 60th birthday.
To celebrate and commemorate what would have been her 60th Birthday on Friday 28th July, we are releasing 60 copies of her first and last book and we would love for you to have a copy.
In 2021 Mum was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. It took its toll but she stayed strong throughout for her family.
It was at this time, she decided to write a book. She had always wanted to write a book, she was truly a gifted writer. Her only regret? Not writing it sooner…
Beverley’s book is based in and around Gold Street in Tiverton. It follows a family’s magical journey in trying to restore the Exe Struggle boat race, to bring back fun and community to the town. Accompanied with all her own illustrations. Based around Gold Street & Tiverton’s key landmarks & Rivers it’s a truly magical read for both adults and children.
Beverley saw in her deteriorating health that she wanted her Grandchildren to remember her not as the ill lady she had become, but as the strong and loving Grandma she intended to be if she survived the illness.
She appropriately called the book ‘Charlie & Esme Save Time’.
One month after seeing her work published, and proudly holding the book in her hands, Bev passed away.
So, for you Mum - we have printed 60 limited, first edition copies of ‘Charlie and Esme Save Time’.
These will be the only copies of the book available. Hard back, timeless keepsakes. A book about fun, magic, love, community, family and Tiverton. A book for us all to remember.
All profits from the book will be going into ‘Bevs Gold Street Fund’.
Books will be available ‘first come first served’, and are available ONLINE ONLY BY PRESALE at 10am on Friday 28th July 2023.
Books can then be collected from Tuesday 1st August at either Mojos Hair & Beauty or Mademoiselle Mojo during our opening hours.
60 copies for Bevs 60th. For someone who did so much for everyone else - this one’s for you mum.
